What type of speakers do I need for my 2000 Volkswagen Golf 2 door?

I want to install new speakers for my 2000 volkswagen golf, and I do not know what size I need. What kind of aftermarket speakers will give me awesome bass? My speakers now do not have much bass. If you have $450 to spend on 2 sets of component speakers then I would suggest on getting 2 sets of Elemental Designs e9.65i, they sound amazing. The rattle every inch of the door, and that is after the door is sound deadened. But they are great speakers. They can handle the delivery of mid bass from any style of music you may listen to. With out my sub installed it sounds like I have a small sub installed when I do not.
