I started playing golf about a year and a half ago. The very first time I went the driving range I borrowed an Iron from to pro shop. They didn't have any left-handed driver that I could use. The next day I went and bought a cheap driver just to see how it felt. Now a two years later I have the same crapy driver. Im looking to spend about 150 on a driver. Any one use the Hammer?Im a novice golf player and Im looking for a good inexpensive golf driver?I wouldn't recommend an offbrand driver. Sure some may work fine but many are illegal under USGA rules and sometimes aren't of the best quality like the name brand ones. For 150$ you won't be able to buy the latest and greatest clubs but you don't have to settle for a used one. You can get a great driver that is only one or two years old off of websites like Golfsmith and GolfGalaxy. May I suggest the 2009 Taylormade Burner or the Callway Diablo Edge from 2010.Im a novice golf player and Im looking for a good inexpensive golf driver?
A $300 new driver is worth about $50 trade-in 2 years after release. Every golfer I know has one of these in the basement/garage. Ask around, you should be able to pick one up for less than $100. It won't be "fitted" to you but your question was about value. Before you buy anything, go to several demo days at a driving range and find which shaft is right for you. The shaft is your main concern if you want something better than you have...it makes the biggest difference.Im a novice golf player and Im looking for a good inexpensive golf driver?Check out the taylormade R9 460....it is a GREAT driver and with the release of the r9 supertri and the now just released r11 you should be able to find a brand new one for about $150. I own the r9 460, and have hit both the supertri and r11 and besides the customizing weight movement in the new ones, there is no difference. They all hit the same distance. All around great club and you can never go wrong with taylormade.Im a novice golf player and Im looking for a good inexpensive golf driver?
Go to a golf store and ask to hit some used drivers or ask for some left over models from previous seasons. I just bought a driver that originally sold for $300 for $109. It was from 2 seasons ago but it is brand new.Im a novice golf player and Im looking for a good inexpensive golf driver?Go to Callaway Preowned or Taylor Made Preowned,Quality always trumps gimmicksIm a novice golf player and Im looking for a good inexpensive golf driver?
The Slazenger F.A.S.T. is a very forgiving driver.
