Is 32 a decent golf handicap? Do you think taking classes may help me to improve my game?

My handicap is 32. I don't get to play much so I guess it's ok for the time I spent in golf. My dad says I can get to 24 with more practice and some classes. What do you think? Is 32 a decent golf handicap? Do you think taking classes may help me to improve my game?don't let all these people discourage you!

you don't play much and having a low handicap is not automatic.

I'm 29, took up golf a few years ago. i started playing regularly last year and my handicap was 33.7 and towards the end of the year I took 5 lessons. this year my handicap is 25.4. that's after only taking 5 lessons, playing several times a month and going to practice if possible.

if you're young and don't have a full time job, i think you could easily do it if you got only a few lessons and practiced. if you are older, like me, it's obviously possible, and wasn't very hard, but it was more difficult because finding time to practice during the week is my major hurdle. Is 32 a decent golf handicap? 2nd question first, classes/lessons will always be helpful. Pros have swing coaches so why shouldn't a recreational golfer get lessons. Now to the first question. 32 is high on the handicap scale. Golf is about how low you can go. Keep playing and you will improve. Is 32 a decent golf handicap? Do you think taking classes may help me to improve my game?at the moment you have a lot of work to do to get to a decent handicap, but work at it and you will be ok i am off 5 and that is a decent handicap but it takes hard work and dedication, you need to make sacrafices if you want to take your game to the next level, but good luck mate and stick at it
This guy is 32. Bad? Horrible? None of those. He plays little and wanna improve his game and ask for advice. That's what I call being smart. I suppose you guys are so good in your game you can kick his *** but he is a way more decent person. Is 32 a decent golf handicap? Do you think taking classes may help me to improve my game?Honestly, that's terrible. The first year i ever played golf (in 9th grade) my handicap was a 21. Its like a 12 now (3 years later). Yea it only goes to 36 so your bad, but at least you cant get much worse. Is 32 a decent golf handicap? Do you think taking classes may help me to improve my game?
Anyone has the potential to improve with lessons and practice, and nobody improves doing nothing about it. The choice and opportunity is yours and yours alone.
32 is almost double bogey golf.... that is getting into triple digit scores.... which is pretty bad.

A decenct handicap would be bogey golf... about an 18. Anything below 9 would be considered a pretty good handicap. Is 32 a decent golf handicap? Do you think taking classes may help me to improve my game?
32 is bad....i'm 16 and this is my second year of golf and i have a 6.8 handicap, my tips are work on your putting and chipping and pitching as much as possible
Globally including social players you have an average handicap believe it or not!
