How many men play on a college level golf team?

How many men play on a college level golf team? How is a college golf match scored? I know that in high school 6 members play a match and the top 4 scores are added up to get the team score. Is it scored the same way in college? Also, do college teams play 9-holes (like high school) or 18-holes?How many men play on a college level golf team?Actually, I played college golf and tournaments can vary slightly but the standard format is:



Field your 5 best players and use the combined stroke scores for the lowest 4.



Tournaments are always at least an 18 hole event as far as I am aware. Some are 36 hole and a very very few 54. I am not aware of a standard 72 hole event. Of course then there is the national tournament which is a series of 18 hole team stroke play matches.



The team with the lowest stroke total for the number of days in the tournament wins. There are usually awards for lowest individual as well. Some tournaments even have long drive contests and closest to the pin type events.



Most tournaments are 1 or 2 day events and not more. Some tournaments have an additional practice round as well.
