Will a background in tennis help me in golf?

I've been playing tennis for 5 years, and I know that strokes are extreamly important. I''m planning on starting golf soon, and I know that the stroke is important as well. Will my tennis background ease difficulty in me learning golf? Will a background in tennis help me in golf? Not really. Golf swing and tennis swing are completely different. My dad started out playing tennis and he switched to golf. But he had a hell of a time playing golf in the beginning. He said the swing motion is so unnatural in golf. It didn't help him a bit with his tennis background. But anything just comes with practice. Just practice, practice, practice. Good luck :)Will a background in tennis help me in golf?Yeah because your hand eye coordination and timing you use for tennis helps you hit the golf ball better

That's also why a lot of tennis players pick up golf (like Nadal and Hantuchova for instance)
