Why are my Yamaha electric golf cart battery posts getting hot and melting? The batteries are wired in correctly (neg to Pos) This only happens when driving. The cart functions normal and does not give any indication that something is malfunctioning till it quits due to a post melting off.Why are my Yamaha electric golf cart battery posts getting hot and melting?A loose connection will cause the current to arc and melt the post.
The battery could also be overfilling.
