What is the difference between a square face angle on a golf club and a regular face angle. What is the difference between a square face angle on a golf club and a regular face angle.?Theoretically you have more hitting area on a square faced club head. However, because of bulge and roll on all club faces, the additional hitting area is minimal. What is the difference between a square face angle on a golf club and a regular face angle.?Are you talking about the square faced drivers vs the standard convex face driver?...
If so, its all a market hype, the idea behind the square face driver is to hit the ball square on the face all the time, whether you hit the toe or the heel. Generally hitting off the toe of the driver will draw / hook the ball. By eliminating the convex shape, the ball is supposed to hit the square toe and fly straight.
Each to their own, I just think its a **** **** factor. I have hit the Callaway fusion (?) didnt like it at all, to be honest you can still shape the ball as if you where hitting a regular club
